Ajere is a concept album about personal memories. Produced with a number of field recordings and samples, it explores personal connection to places, moments and people dear to me. Audio samples give the possibility to cristalize a moment, enlarge and explore it, contrasting the ephemeral nature of fleeting time. Napoli, my hometown, often takes center stage, with its rituals, street noises and the melodies.
"One day, you will visit your grandparents house for the last time". This quote reverberated in my mind for many years, until that day came. The album cover features a photo from that last visit — a wall that had been a constant backdrop to my childhood. This ordinary scene took on a profound significance, immortalized in a photograph, serving as a poignant archive of what has passed.
