Fluctuaris is an interactive installation by Nikolai Gillissen at TAC Eindhoven, inspired by the wind blowing through a field of wheat. It consists of a room full of kinetic objects operating autonomously and communicating with their neighbours. The visitor is invited to gently touch one of the stalks, to which the piece reacts with a movement that travels from one object to another. This creates an unchoreographed dance, a dialogue of movement between visitor and work. As an opening to the installation, during the DDW 2026, I performed a live ambient soundscape inspired by the clicking sounds of the installation.
